CAIR-LA invites you to join the Manzanar Committee on April 29th, 2017 for a one-day visit to Manzanar, where about 10,000 Japanese Americans were interned based on their heritage during World War II.

The program includes:

12:00PM – 2:30PM
* Talks by former internees
* Interfaith prayer service

2:30PM – 5:00PM
* Walking Tours
* Museum Exhibits

5:00PM – 8:00PM
* “Manzanar at Dusk” group session with internees

Pilgrimage participants are advised to bring cash and/or their own lunch, drinks and snacks as there are no meals provided on the trip. Light snacks and water will be made available to all attendees, and stops will be made en route and in Lone Pine for guests to purchase an early lunch and late dinner from local restaurants and fast food outlets.

We will be leaving from the CAIR office promptly at 6:00AM. Please be sure to arrive thirty minutes early so as to allow adequate time for boarding the bus for departure.

If you are attending, you must print, sign, and bring the image release and release of liability forms on the day of (we will provide these forms after you register).

As long as youth (under 18 years) have an adult with them, they may attend. Any youth without an adult chaperone will not be allowed on the bus. A chaperone may look after up to four youth.
