In January 2017, the Trump administration instituted the discriminatory Muslim Ban, unjustly denying visas to thousands. In response, the No Muslim Ban Ever coalition, including CAIR-CA and organizations like Pars Equality Center, formed to fight for justice. After a seven-year fight against this discriminatory policy, CAIR-CA proudly celebrates a major legal victory: a federal court agreement signed in May 2024 paved the way for visa reconsideration for nearly 25,000 individuals impacted by the ban. This landmark agreement establishes a fair process for reconsideration, including waived application fees, addressing years of unjust visa denials.
