Development Coordinator

Overview:

Title: Development Coordinator

Schedule Type: Part-time at 20-25 hours/week (non-exempt, hourly position)

Location: Office located in Anaheim, CA. Requires some travel throughout the Greater Los Angeles Area.

 

CAIR-Greater Los Angeles Area is looking for a passionate and talented individual to fill the Development Coordinator position. Join one of the most dynamic teams defending civil rights on behalf of the American Muslim community, promoting civic engagement, and building coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding. The Development Coordinator’s role is to support the Development Manager in implementing CAIR-LA’s annual fundraising plan. 

 

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate donor relations initiatives and communications
  • Coordinate and draft fundraising mailers and online giving campaigns
  • Secure sponsorship and advertisements for annual banquet and special events/programs
  • Coordinate expansion of existing monthly donor program
  • Coordinate special events logistics such as informational dinners
  • Coordinate grant applications and assist with grant writing
  • Coordinate and assist with various fundraising tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Business/Marketing or related field is preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines
  • Must have strong initiative and demonstrate the ability to learn in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision
  • A record of measurable results in organizing and implementing initiatives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
