Yes. CAIR-CA is a federally registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our EIN is 77-0411194, and your donation is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You receive a receipt by email for every gift.
Your gift helps CAIR-LA provide legal services, advocacy, and community education to those targeted by discrimination, hate, and civil rights violations across Greater Los Angeles.
CAIR-LA serves Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
Yes. Donations are processed securely through FundraiseUp with encrypted checkout. CAIR-LA does not store your payment card information.
Yes. Several scholars, including Sheikh Ahmad Kutty and Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, chairman of the Fiqh Council of North America, agree that CAIR-CA’s work is eligible for zakat as it collectively advances services to the community, fi Sabilillah. Donors may designate their zakat contributions to specific areas of work. If no designation is made, CAIR-CA allocates zakat funds to programs and services that directly protect the rights of Muslims: the legal department (civil rights and immigration), policy, advocacy, and government relations. Zakat funds are not allocated toward fundraising or administrative expenses.
