Internships & Volunteer

As a civil rights advocacy non-profit, CAIR-LA is tasked with striving to protect and uphold our Constitutional rights. Though the size of our task is large, our resources are not. Because of this, we rely heavily on volunteers and interns to help make our goals a reality. If you are interested in helping out with CAIR-LA, we would more than welcome your participation and support.



To volunteer at CAIR-LA, please complete the volunteer application and send it via email to CAIR-LA Leadership Development Coordinator Yusra Khafagi at She will coordinate with you to set up a time at which you can come in and get oriented to our office and our work in general. Our office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Volunteering work with CAIR-LA could include:

  • Reviewing and responding to requests for assistance
  • Assisting with ongoing litigation/projects
  • Administrative work (photocopying, bulk mailing, answering phones, etc.)
