Arefa Simjee received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Cardiopulmonary Science as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the University of Central Florida. She moved to California in 2000 and joined CAIR-LA as a volunteer. She contributed to many projects and events, assisted in the office and dedicated her time towards the organization of the annual banquet. She started working for CAIR in the Programs department in 2008 and then shifted to the Administrative department in 2011 before taking on the position as CAIR-CA's State Chapter Coordinator. In her position, she develops meaningful relationships and interoffice operational models that are dynamic, streamlined, scalable and impactful.
