Eugene W. Fields manages the Communications Team at CAIR-LA, which works to build bridges with the community and media through various digital and creative platforms. He brings more than 15 years of experience in journalism, marketing and communications to his role.
He worked for more than 10 years covering sports and local news for three newspapers in Southern California, including The Orange County Register, where he won state awards for his coverage of the largest mass murder in Orange County’s history.
Eugene also has experience working in corporate communications for an S&P 500 company, local government and marketing communications for a global insurance firm.
He holds a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Phoenix, where he was the National Commencement Ceremony student speaker, delivering an address to more than 5,000.
Eugene is also an Assistant Professor at Westcliff University in Irvine, teaching Business Management Communications. Eugene is excited about using the power of strong storytelling and media to change the world one person at a time.
