Manahil Haroon is the Policy Fellow at CAIR-LA. She was born in Pakistan and came to the United States at the age of 8. Since then, she had been living in upstate New York until recently, she relocated to Orange County. After completing her Internship with CAIR-LA in December, she immediately knew she wanted to join our team. Manahil previously worked for the New York State Legislature, where she found her passion for Policy and Government Relations. She strongly feels that policy and advocacy are crucial when it comes to representing our communities, especially those most vulnerable because this work directly impacts our communities. Manahil says that by helping create policies that address the needs of our communities, along with strong advocacy, we can create far-reaching positive change and make our communities feel heard and represented. For Manahil, CAIR brings together her love for policy and community service.
Fun Fact: Manahil is a cat-mom of two and loves spending time in nature, hiking with her husband.
