Sarah Berjaoui recently joined CAIR-LA’s team as a Los Angeles Community Organizer. Born and raised in Los Angeles to Lebanese and Syrian parents, Sarah received her B.A. in Consumer Psychology in 2014 from Whittier College. In 2019, she earned a B.A. in Islamic Law and Theology from California Islamic University.
Sarah has an outstanding combination of experience in entrepreneurship, public relations, marketing and business. Before working with CAIR, she was a professional makeup artist for eight years for artists working on music videos, fashion shows, weddings, etc. She also spent time working within Muslim American communities, including nonprofits such as Dar al-Rahman School.
Sarah had a spiritual awakening after performing Hajj in 2017. She left her job to pursue her newfound passion to make an impact in the Muslim Community. Before joining CAIR, she volunteered with “We Are All America.” She volunteered with CAIR in 2017.
In her leisure time, Sarah enjoys writing and performing her poetry, meditating, boxing, dancing and publicly speaking.
