(LOS ANGELES, CA 9/16/20) — On Thursday, September 17, attorneys from the Greater Los Angeles Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-LA) and the national office of CAIR will hold an online news conference to announce the filing of a lawsuit in federal court on behalf of Nusaiba Mubarak, 26, a Muslim woman who had her religious headscarf (hijab) forcibly removed by Los Angeles Police Department officers.

Ms. Mubarak and her attorneys will address the media and answer questions regarding her lawsuit.
