A message from cair leadership
As-salaam alaikum (peace be toyou).
On behalf of the entire CAIR family, I thank you for your continued support. Your support is critical to sustaining our efforts to promote justice and mutual understanding. Together we have helped in enhancing understanding of Islam, promoting justice empowering the American Muslim community.
The past 18 months have been challenging not only for CAIR, but also for the American Muslim community.
Islamophobia continues to rise, assisted by a veritable cottage industry of extremists who pontificate with great certainty about the cause-effect relationship between Islam and terrorism, when none exists.
To enable us better project CAIR’s message and mission, we launched our new brand.
Developing a new brand was not just applying a fresh coat of paint, but rather reorienting and reforming the organization to make its policies, attitudes and actions consistent with our core values and aspirations.
The new brand solidifies our attributes as an organization that is authentically Islamic and absolutely American. It also reaffirms our commitment to peace, justice and dialogue by remaining inclusive and balanced in our viewpoints. President John F. Kennedy once said: “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” We did not want to miss out on making CAIR’s future even better than its past.
As we go forward, we pledge to work harder and smarter to fulfill your aspiration to become empowered and enlightened citizens of America. Insha’allah, we hope that you will walk alongside us in the future, just as you did in the past.
