New Website Includes Voter Registration Tools, Forthcoming Legislative Scorecard

(ANAHEIM, CA, 9/20/2016) – The California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA), the state's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization, today launched a statewide #CAIR2Vote Muslim voter engagement campaign – at www.muslims.vote/ca – to promote civic engagement, voter registration, and voter education programs.

This campaign aims to help voters navigate the ballot this upcoming election with voter guides, articles, special reports, and other tools. In the coming weeks, CAIR-CA will also publish the voting records of the California legislators on issues relating to Islamophobia, voting rights, and freedom of speech.

CAIR-CA's civic engagement efforts include hosting several Candidates' Forums where constituents get the chance to meet with elected officials and candidates running for local office, and dozens of voter registration drives across California since the Primary elections.
