For Immediate Release: September 14, 2015 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA, 9/14/15) – The California chapter of the Council on American – Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA) applauds the California state legislature for passing SB 178 (CalECPA) and Assembly Bill 953 (AB 953) this week. CAIR-CA co-sponsored and advocated for both bills through meetings in Sacramento and efforts to mobilize American Muslims to contact their legislators. Both bills have been sent to the Governor and are awaiting his signature.
