Dear CAIR-LA Supporter,
Assalaamu Alaykum! I am so blessed and grateful to Allah (God Almighty) for granting us champions of rights and justice like you, champions who have made our work and services possible.
As we conclude this year, I ask for a moment of your valuable time. In brief, to ensure the strong participation of our local Muslim community in this past election and to address the urgent need for immigration support to newly arrived Muslim refugees and immigrants seeking safety in the U.S., we expanded our community organizing and immigrants’ rights staff. This necessary expansion created a small, unexpected budget deficit that we now need to cover. Alhamdulillah, as we now celebrate many election victories and hundreds of additional families whose immigration status is protected, we know that these were resources well spent to empower our community and increase our political impact.
We ask for a valuable moment of your time for an urgent request to help us meet the remainder of our end-of-the-year funding goal of $75,000 before 2022 ends. To continue the critical work of empowering American Muslims, challenging Islamophobia, and protecting our rights, CAIR-LA relies on the generosity of donors like yourself and allow us to start the year 2023 strong!
