@Repjudychu and other members of Congress just int @Repjudychu and other members of Congress just introduced the #NoBanAct - legislation that would prevent future presidents from banning people based on their religion. While President Biden repealing the #MuslimBan was a good first step, we must ensure this never happens again.

Shaka King’s new film “Judas and the Black Mes Shaka King’s new film “Judas and the Black Messiah” is the intersection of CAIR-LA’s work, Hollywood and the legendary martyr Fred Hampton.

Fred Hampton was murdered in a police raid that was later proved to be illegal. The culpability of the FBI, the Police and the state attorney general was implied with a $1.8 million settlement to the victims of the raid.

Fred Hampton remains a commemorable figure who spent his life feeding underserved children, unifying people beyond racial divisions, and combating police abuses of authority.

Fred Hampton remains a commemorable figure who spent his life feeding underserved children, unifying people beyond racial divisions, and combating police abuses of authority.

The COINTELPRO program which was the means of Hampton’s surveillance and ultimate execution was the precursor to a discriminatory 2014 surveillance program called CVE.

CAIR-CA has been successfully defending American civil rights against CVE and other COINTELPRO reincarnations, but that fight continues.
We understand that the celebration of Black histor We understand that the celebration of Black history is every day and the conversation and appreciation must go beyond the month of February. ✨ The late Dr. Abdulmu’min founded the DuBois Institute, which focuses on nurturing and empowering youth and families, especially within the underserved African-American community. Dr. Abdulm’umin was a licensed Clinical Psychologist and professor with more than 35 years of university teaching and experience. He reached out to many delinquent youth and encouraged them to succeed in spite of the prison industrial complex. Although he is no longer with us, Abdulmu'min remains a local hero who touched many lives and still inspires his community members until this day.⁣
⁣
We would like to express our deep gratitude to our community leaders who have paved the way for future generations. ⁣
