Arefa Simjee is the Operations and Programs Manager for CAIR-CA, and she fosters relationships and collaborations between offices and develops operational efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance within the organization’s departments. Arefa obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Cardiopulmonary Science as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the University of Central Florida. She moved to California in 2000 and joined CAIR-LA as a volunteer. She worked on many projects, assisted with office administration, and dedicated her time to planning the annual banquet. She started working for CAIR-LA’s programs department in 2008 and then shifted to the administrative department in 2011 before taking on the CAIR-CA’s Operations and Programs Manager position.
