Nazeehah Khan

Policy & Government Affairs Manager

Nazeehah is the Policy and Government Affairs Manager for CAIR-CA and is responsible for building relationships with elected officials to advocate for civil and human rights legislation and promote civic engagement. She will analyze and develop policies and campaigns around issues relevant to CAIR’s government affairs policy agenda. Nazeehah obtained a master’s degree in International Relations & Politics from the University of Cambridge and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Before joining CAIR-CA, she was a Policy Manager with the California Department of Social Services, where she focused on developing and writing policies for the care of foster children. She has worked on a range of policy issues with the Washington State Senate, the State of Hawaii, the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, and the U.S. Department of State. Nazeehah loves intersectional research, policy writing, and the dynamic world of legislative affairs.
