Can you believe #Ramadan is almost over, and #EidA Can you believe #Ramadan is almost over, and #EidAlFitr is just around the corner? This year, #Eid will most likely fall on Friday, April 21—a weekday. For those of us with work or school, it can be challenging to celebrate Eid when it falls on a weekday. The good news is that #California law generally allows you to request time off from work or school for religious holidays, and you are protected from being retaliated against.

We know it can be intimidating to ask your boss or your school for time off, so we've created two templates you can send them! Visit bit.ly/ramadan-accommodations to download them.

Act now: Urge @Potus @Joebiden and Congress to con Act now: Urge @Potus @Joebiden and Congress to condemn #Israel's attack on #Palestinians observing #Ramadan at #AlAqsa.

For Palestinians living under #Israeli occupation, Ramadan has historically been and continues to be a period of increased violence by Israeli forces. This year has been no exception. On April 5 and 6, Israeli forces stormed the holy site, firing stun grenades and tear gas at #Palestinian worshipers offering Ramadan prayers.

We call on the Biden administration to take immediate action to condemn this attack and address the U.S. policies that enable Israel’s ongoing aggression towards the Palestinian people. It is our moral duty as #Americans, whose tax money funds Israel’s #apartheid against Palestinians, to take a firm stance against Israel’s consistent human rights violations and work towards a just and lasting resolution to the occupation.
