Summer Hararah is a community organizer with 10 years of experience across the non- and for-profit sectors in the Bay Area. Summer graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in Political Science and Middle East South Asian Studies. She received her MBA in 2015, after relocating to Dubai, and spent three years working in NPI (New Product Introduction) operations and global marketing management in Silicon Valley. Prior to tech work, Summer spent over six years working with nonprofit legal groups to help combat post-9/11 profiling and discrimination against Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim and South Asian (AMEMSA) communities in the U.S. Summer worked to identify broad patterns of abuse and systemic civil rights violations and to educate and engage impacted communities in defending their rights. She is excited to be back in the area that helped shape her passion for community advocacy, and to apply her business and nonprofit experience to improve operations of CAIR-SV and build its capacity to reach the most marginalized segments of our community. Summer can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
