The Sacramento Valley/Central California office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SV/CC) condemns yesterday’s hostage-taking incident at the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas and stands in solidarity with the Jewish Community during this time.

In a statement, CAIR-SV/CC Executive Director Basim Elkarra said:
“We are thankful that the ordeal is over. While no congregants were physically harmed, the emotional scars will, unfortunately, take a toll on Congregation Beth Israel. We stand in solidarity with Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker and the Jewish Community during this difficult time.”
