CAIR-Sacramento Valley/Central CA Condemns Racist, CAIR-Sacramento Valley/Central CA Condemns Racist, ‘Go Trump Heil Hitler’ Antisemitic Vandalism in Folsom

(SACRAMENTO, CA, 2/22/2022) - The Sacramento Valley/Central California office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SV/CC) today condemned racist and antisemitic vandalism in Folsom, Calif.

Folsom police say vandals spray-painted homes and cars with racist, antisemitic and neo-Nazi graffiti, including “Go Trump Heil Hitler.”

"We strongly condemn the hateful antisemitic and neo-Nazi campaign in Folsom," said CAIR Sacramento Valley (CAIR-SV) Executive Director Basim Elkarra. "We must come together to condemn the rising tide of hate, antisemitism and intolerance."

He said the American Muslim community and CAIR stand in solidarity with all those challenging anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, antisemitism, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.

"Anti-Semites spreading hateful literature and graffiti has no place in our community," said Muslim Community of Folsom President Hafeez Mohammad. "We stand in solidarity with our Jewish and African-American communities."

Community members are being urged to report any bias incidents to police and to CAIR-SV's Civil Rights Department at http://bit.ly/cairsvreport.
Black History Month is a reminder of pride, joy, r Black History Month is a reminder of pride, joy, resilience, family, and the undying-ancestral legacy of liberation by Black people. It is a manifestation of Black people's strength in the face of unimaginable brutality and continued suffering.

Carter G. Woodson believed it was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Black People and to leverage this visibility to tell the true story of those who have been forgotten, marginalized, and made invisible through American democracy.
