Fahad Ahmad : Vice President

Fahad Ahmad


Fahad Ahmad serves on the CAIR-SD executive committee and the CAIR-CA board. He identifies most closely with CAIR's mission of promoting social justice and mutual dialogue to better represent Islamic values in US.  He has been a resident of San Diego for almost 15 years. His professional experience include management of internet and software related products.  He holds an MBA from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA. 


Saed Younis

Vice President

Saed Younis is an entrepreneur and a long time resident of San Diego. He has founded companies in San Diego as well as Jordan, Egypt and UAE. He has been an ardent supporter of CAIR and its core values of justice and civic engagement.



Tazheen Nizam


Tazheen Nizam is an accounting and finance professional. She is a strong proponent of social justice, and a volunteer for ACLU of San Diego and the Democratic Club of Vista.  She holds an MBA degree in Finance and Organization Management

Lallia Allali


Lallia Allali is an active member within the Muslim community as well as with the broader San Diego community.  She works closely with San Diego Unified School district as a volunteer and is on the board for Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice (ICWJ San Diego). She holds a Masters degree in Leadership from University of San Diego.


Edreace Purmul


Edreace Purmul is a film maker and story teller.  He is a longtime San Diego resident and has served the muslim community in numerous capacities. Prior to joining CAIR San Diego, he was the Youth Director for MAS San Diego, and the Director at Musim Community Center of Greater San Diego (MCC). He was also a founding member of Muslim Leadership Council in San Diego.  Edreace holds a degree from San Diego State University school of Film and Business.

Safaa Ibrahim


Safaa Ibrahim holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Strayer University.  Her professional experience includes internet and software project management, operations, marketing, and she has contributed to the establishment of two small business start-ups.  In the past five years, Ms. Ibrahim has shifted her career path by dedicating herself to nonprofit endeavors by volunteering full-time to the San Francisco Bay Area community.  She has been active with the Council on American-Islamic Relations, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (CAIR-SFBA), the Muslim Community Association (MCA), and GiveLight Foundation.  Ms. Ibrahim was appointed Executive Director of CAIR-SFBA in July 2005 and currently serves on the executive committee for the chapter.

Vice Chair

Haitham Abul-Haija has been with the Sacramento Muslim community for more than 18 years. Throughout that time, he has served multiple terms on the executive committee at the local mosque. Previously, he served on the board of American Muslims for Palestine's Sacramento chapter. In addition to serving on the CAIR-CA board, he also serves on the executive committee of CAIR-Sacramento Valley. In his profession, he directs a team of engineers to meet schedule, standards, and cost in developing leading-edge platform technologies for both mobile and desktop chipsets at Intel Corporation.

















Secretary-Asif Harsolia

Asif Harsolia, M.D.


Asif R. Harsolia, M.D. has been an active member of the Muslim community previously serving in leadership and volunteer positions in a number of different non-profit organizations. He is a board-certified cancer specialist in Radiation Oncology. Originally from Michigan, Dr. Harsolia obtained his medical doctorate from the University of Michigan Medical School. Following this, he successfully completed his residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan where he had the privilege of training with some of the world's top specialists in the field of radiation oncology. He is a practicing partner with the Memorial Radiation Oncology Medical Group in Orange County and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of California, Irvine.

















Sami Siddiqui


T. Sami Siddiqui is the president of CAIR-SV and Treasurer of CAIR-CA. He immigrated from Pakistan and appreciates what this country has to offer, and cherishes its tradition of freedom, justice and openness. He believes in giving back to the community, and in addition to CAIR, serves as Treasurer for Elica Health Clinic, a federal qualified clinic, and is a board member for Shifa Clinic, a student-run UC Davis-affiliated clinic. Professionally, he has worked in the Mortgage and Real Estate industry for over 25 years. He currently resides in Sacramento with his wife and two kids.

















Hussam Ayloush

Staff Representative

Hussam Ayloush is the Executive Director and has been since 1998. He frequently lectures on Islam, media relations, civil rights, hate crimes and international affairs pertaining to American Muslims. He has consistently appeared in local, national, and international media advocating and articulating the mainstream Muslim position on various issues.

Sabir Ibrahim, Esq.


Sabir Ibrahim is an attorney who specializes in intellectual property. He has advised some of the most prominent technology companies in Silicon Valley on issues related to technology licensing, patent procurement, patent litigation, and intellectual property strategy. Currently, he is an in-house corporate counsel at a Fortune 50 technology company where he structures and negotiates strategic partnerships and technology license and acquisition agreements. Mr. Ibrahim has a BSE in computer science and a JD, both from the University of Michigan. He is licensed to practice law in the State of California. Mr. Ibrahim lives in Fremont, CA with his wife and son and is an active member of the Bay Area Muslim community.

Spojmie Nasiri, Esq.


Spojmie Nasiri is a first generation immigrant herself who understands through personal experience how difficult and emotionally draining American immigration process can be. Mrs. Nasiri’s education, community involvement and associations reflect her outstanding dedication in the area of immigration law. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Davis and her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University, School of Law. Mrs. Nasiri is a member of the California State Bar and is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Mrs. Nasiri currently practices immigration law exclusively and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.










Omar Hassaine


Omar Hassaine is a proud husband and father of 3 children. Omar is a computer engineer by profession and has been active in the Muslim community for more than 35 years. Omar served as president of the board of trustees of the Islamic Society of Illinois in the late 80s, a board member of the Bosnia Task force in the 90s, and finally a co-founder of the CAIR-San Diego chapter.











Omar Milbis


Omar began as a volunteer for CAIR-LA while in attending college in 1998. After completing his bachelor’s in Economics from CSU Long Beach, Omar went to work in the grocery industry and currently serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Rio Ranch Markets. Omar also serves on the board of the California Grocers Association and sits on their Government Relations and Finance Committees. He resides in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife and three children.

Yasir Mahar is an Assistant Fund Controller for a financial services firm. Being in the field for almost ten years, his areas of expertise include accounting, finance, and business process improvement. He loves playing basketball and reading
