Blessing Chirimbani is a Development Contractor at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SD). In this position, she will support donation management for the organization.
Blessing was born and raised in Zimbabwe. She lived and studied in Norway for two years before coming to the United States of America and pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma with degrees in International Studies and Public & Non-Profit Administration with a minor in International Development.
Her passion is rooted in serving the community, shaping her intense involvement with Model United Nations since 2014 as Secretary General & President. In college, Blessing worked on numerous civil rights projects with different nonprofits and has grown to understand that speaking on issues of marginalization is not enough without actions that bring about tangible change. She strongly believes that fighting for equity and equality is a way of life and not just a job or a hobby.
Outside of work, she volunteers remotely with a girl-child rescue center in Kenya. She also enjoys video calls with family, reading, crocheting, eating, and basking in the sun.
