Rabiah grew up in East San Diego finding herself to be in the field of social service. She studied Psychology and Education at UC Santa Cruz where she had the opportunity to learn more about social issues such as homelessness, mental health, and the school-to-prison pipeline.
With the current conditions of the world, Rabiah recognizes the importance of strengthening local communities to prepare for a future that applies justice and peace. The concept of Ubuntu (I am because we are, and we are therefore I am) adds meaning to Rabiah’s purpose as she continues this line of community work.
Rabiah has previously worked at non-profit organizations that focus on coordinating services, case management, crisis intervention, and organizing workshops for the community. Rabiah also has Mental Health First Aid and Social Justice & Community Leadership Certificates.
