“CAIR is developing an American Muslim identity that is proudly and confidently rooted in faith, growing through service and that has a sense of political and social empowerment,” said CAIR-San Diego Executive Director Hanif Mohebi. “Many attendees remarked that this event was the best banquet in CAIR-San Diego’s nine year history.”

CAIR is America's largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
