CAIR-SD’s Recent Efforts:

1. CAIR-SD called on Nityo Infotech to investigate and take disciplinary action against a recruiter who sent out a recruitment email stating, "please do not include Muslim applicants for below position"!
We will continue to pressure the company to issue a public apology and take corrective measures to change their company's deep-seeded Islamophobic culture.

2. Report on Islamophobia on College Campuses:
- The report shows that while Muslim students have become more visible on campuses, they are still subjected to pervasive stereotypes, microaggressions, harassment, and discrimination due to their religious identity or political advocacy. CAIR-SD is also working with local school districts to address and upend Islamophobia against our youth.
Today, the San Diego and New Jersey CAIR chapters Today, the San Diego and New Jersey CAIR chapters called on Nityo Infotech to investigate alleged discriminatory staff recruiting and to take appropriate disciplinary action based on the results of that investigation.

In a statement, CAIR-SD Operations & Development Manager Omair Khan said:

“Considering the information provided, it is clear the recruiter meant to exclude Muslims from the job opportunity, as she then apparently attempted to correct in a follow-up email. This divisive and discriminatory practice must not be tolerated or excused, and we need to see tangible efforts from the company in their improvement toward being an equitable agency.”
