On Monday, April 25, 2015 CAIR-California will be hosting the 5th Annual Muslim Day at the Capitol.
Nearly 500 Muslims from across California, including 198 from the Bay Area alone, held more than 70 advocacy meetings with elected officials and their staff in Sacramento during Muslim Day at the Capitol 2015. In 2014, the attendees engaged their legislators on three critical issues in efforts to promote just, equitable and progressive policies within the state, including surveillance reform, equal pay for women, and healthcare for all.
For many participants, Muslim Day at the Capitol was the first time they engaged their local lawmakers. By equipping participants with hands-on experience and knowledge of the legislative process, we hope to galvanize our fellow American Muslims to play a growing role in advocating for policies that positively impact California.

Ticket prices include training, advocacy materials, and meals. Transportation to the Capitol and back to the Bay Area is available. No prior advocacy experience is required.
