Thousands of Kashmiris have been detained and many of them tortured since India revoked Kashmir’s autonomy a month ago. This month’s featured film is titled, How We Celebrate Freedom (2007), directed by Sanjay Kak. The program for the evening will feature a film screening, followed by a teach-in and discussion by local Kashmiri organizers. This is a free event, and food+snacks will be provided. We hope that you can join us every month in addressing a topic relevant to our commitment to justice for the oppressed and marginalized.
