Eman Tai Ahmad is a Bay Area native who graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Neuropsychology. She then went on to earn her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Eman is licensed to practice law in California, and has specialized in immigration and estate planning law. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and volunteers with the Southern Poverty Law Center to defend immigrants seeking asylum and to help mothers and children held in immigration custody. She is passionate about criminal and social justice reform, as well as the defense of civil rights protections for all.
In addition to her legal and civil rights work, Eman serves a board member in the local Parent Teacher Association and as a volunteer with the Muslim Community Center in Pleasanton.
