Ghada serves as Deputy Executive Director at CAIR-SFBA and in that role oversees the day-to-day management of the organization’s operations and programs while administering staff development, planning, systems development, and infrastructure to scale-up for long-term growth. Additionally, she manages CAIR-SFBA’s provision of legal services in the areas of civil rights and immigration.
She has extensive domestic and international alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and corporate law experience having worked in private practice, as a corporate general counsel, and in court administration. A highly accomplished and collaborative leader, Ghada joined the non-profit sector to strengthen CAIR-SFBA’s strategic capacity to empower its constituents, while furthering partnerships and coalitions between interfaith communities to advance social justice, program development, and policy implementation.
Ghada holds a JD from the University of Richmond and an MA in Middle Eastern & North African Studies from the University of Michigan. She was awarded a post-doctorate German Chancellor Fellowship from the Alexander-von-Humboldt Foundation to conduct research in comparative and conflicts of law at the University of Cologne, Institute for International and Foreign Private Law in Cologne, Germany.
She is a frequent speaker at international and domestic conferences and thought leader on leadership, employee engagement, and diversity and inclusion. Ghada previously served as Vice President of the Board of the Association of Corporate Counsel-Middle East Chapter. Among her social enterprise activities, she launched a women’s self-development online platform and serves as a member of Women’s Angel Investor Network (WAIN) supporting women’s entrepreneurship.
