Noshaba Afzal

Noshaba Afzal grew up in California and is currently the Executive Director of an educational organization that provides professional development training to public school districts nationally and internationally.

She has served as a teacher, administrator, counselor, and teacher trainer. Noshaba holds a multiple-subject teaching credential, a master’s degree in Educational Counseling with a Pupil Personal Services Counseling credential.

 

She has conducted presentations and keynotes for a variety of audiences, including the County Offices of Education, University of Notre Dame, and the US Department of Education. She has conducted educational research with Stanford University, University of the Pacific, San Jose State University, and leading researchers in the field of Education including Oxford Round Table.

Noshaba has a passion for serving the community at large and has enjoyed volunteering with non-profit organizations such as GiveLight Foundation, AAi Farmbox Packing Project, and Silicon Valley Academy. She is a long-time activist for civil rights and looks forward to participating in CAIR-SFBA’s governance, and assisting with supporting students, navigating public schools and programs, and developing leadership among Muslim youth.

In her free time, Noshaba enjoys hiking in national parks, traveling abroad, skiing, and farming with her husband and children.
