Sahar Mousavi is an Immigrants’ Rights Attorney for the San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA). At CAIR-SFBA, Sahar provides legal representation to community members in their immigration cases.
Sahar is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Law and has a Private International Law certificate from The Hague Academy of International Law in The Netherlands. She is admitted to the state bar of California and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Before joining CAIR-SFBA, Sahar was an attorney at an immigration law firm in San Francisco, where she represented immigrants before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, Asylum Office, and United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. As an immigrant herself, she has an in-depth understanding of what immigrants encounter after moving to the USA. The practice of immigration law is, therefore, both a profession and a passion for her. She is devoted to her clients and the successful outcome of their cases.
