Samiha Uddin is a Community Canvasser at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA). In this position, her role is to educate and mobilize the community on civic engagement efforts.
Samiha is currently attending the University of California Berkeley completing her bachelor’s in Public Health and Psychology with long term career goals of working as a leader in accessible, empathetic, and effective healthcare practices.
Samiha strongly believes in the power of civic engagement and social justice work to change and improve lives for historically oppressed communities and push society forward. Her passion for civic engagement began in high school when she focused her Senior Benchmark project on institutionalized Islamophobia and volunteered with CAIR. This experience empowered her to work towards meaningful progress in civil rights.
In Samiha’s free time she enjoys painting, mehendi, basketball, weightlifting, and laughing with friends and family.
