The San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA) today condemned the hateful vandalism of the Krouzian-Zekarian-Vasbouragan (KZV) Armenian School in San Francisco.

Local news reports indicate that at around 2:00am on Friday, July 24, video surveillance showed multiple men in hoodies spray painting hateful anti-Armenian messages on the school property.

District Attorney Chesa Boudin expressed his outrage in a tweet and noted that the San Francisco Police Department is investigating the attack.

CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo said in a statement:

“We condemn this act of racism and our hearts are with the Armenian community of San Francisco. No child or family should be made to feel unsafe at their school, let alone be targeted in this vile and hateful away. We urge city leaders to prioritize this investigation and ensure swift action is taken in the matter.”
