The San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA), today launched an online voter guide for city and county ballot measures for the Muslim community.

This guide was designed to ensure that the community is informed as they head to the polls. It consists of CAIR-SFBA’s recommendations on various city and county ballot measures in eleven Bay Area counties.

In a statement, CAIR-SFBA’s Government Relations Coordinator Sameena Usman said:

“The voter guide serves to educate the community on issues that affect them and assist them at the polls. We want them to feel empowered when they are exercising their civic right to enforce our democracy and make their voices heard.”

In January, CAIR’s national office launched its annual non-partisan “Muslims Vote” campaign designed to empower American Muslims by increasing their political capacity and presence in the 2020 General Election.
