CAIR-SFBA is organizing this event as part of CAIR’s Mobilize the Muslim Vote initiative to increase civic engagement in the American Muslim community. This forum is the first of a series, which aims to better connect elected officials and candidates to their American Muslim constituents.
“Our plan is to host multiple candidates’ forums around the Bay Area to provide an opportunity for constituents to ask questions and meet with the candidates who will serve their community,” said CAIR-SFBA Government Relations Coordinator Sameena Usman. “It is especially critical this year to get out the vote.”
CAIR-SFBA has scheduled five additional candidates’ forums:
  • September 23: ICCNC (Oakland) at 6:00pm
  • October 7: MCA (Santa Clara) at 6:30pm
