The California chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CA) today is hosting its 11th annual Muslim Day at the Capitol (MDAC) virtually.

During MDAC, American Muslims from across California meet state legislators, discuss issues of concern, and help bring about positive social change.

Last year, hundreds of American Muslims attended the virtual event.

This year, the MDAC legislative agenda is focusing on five bills: AB 1947: Freedom from Hate Crimes Act, SB 1161: Public Transit Ridership Safety, AB 2549: Ending Street Harassment, AB 1766: California IDs for All, and SB 1038: Prohibition of Biometric Surveillance by Law Enforcement.
