Why: Through every iteration of the Trump Administration’s Muslim Ban, it has been clear that this ban remains driven by anti-Muslim sentiment that is contrary to the values of freedom and equality that are central to who we aspire to be as a nation. This Supreme Court decision is in ranks with Korematsu and Dred Scott – we’ve seen before what it looks like when countless people are living with the toxic effects of a policy that targets entire communities. This order still sends a dangerous message that some of us can be banned, and we must keep up the fight for #NoMuslimBanEver.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus was founded in 1972 as the nation’s first legal and civil rights Asian American organization. Recognizing that social, economic, political and racial inequalities continue to exist in the United States, Advancing Justice – ALC is committed to the pursuit of equality and justice for all sectors of our society, with a specific focus directed toward addressing the needs of low-income, immigrant and underserved Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), grassroots civil rights and advocacy group. The #NoMuslimBanEver campaign is organized by a coalition of national and local civil rights and Muslim advocacy groups who are leading efforts around the country to fight against President Trump’s latest unconstitutional Muslim Ban, as well as other discriminatory immigration policies that criminalize and negatively impact American Muslim communities and immigrants across the country.
