This weekend, CAIR-SFBA and MCC East Bay were happy to celebrate the 2022 graduating class of the Muslim Gamechangers Network. Alhamdulillah, 35 wonderful students completed the ten-week social justice training program!
Through the course of the program, the students attended weekly interactive sessions hosted at MCC East Bay to learn the tools that will equip them to become better community advocates and leaders.
They examined and learned about various subjects including identity, history, social responsibility, and organizing tools, all grounded in an Islamic worldview. They received training from leading activists and community leaders from across the San Francisco Bay Area, including Fatima Mekkaoui, Ayesha Hamid, Haleema Bharoocha, Maimona Berta, and Aziz Akbari.
CAIR-SFBA thanks the MCC East Bay for co-hosting the program. We are also very appreciative of the donors who helped make this program accessible to all students through their support, and the dedicated students who came back week after week to learn and grow together.
