The 14th annual Muslim Youth Leadership Program (MYLP) will be taking place in Sacramento, from Thursday, August 2, through Sunday, August 5! Apply today and learn about how government operates in our California State Capitol. The 40 students chosen from across that state will spend an intensive weekend with Muslim activists and youth as well as state lawmakers.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 1.

For additional information, visit our website here.

Over the course of MYLP, you will:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of California’s legislative process
  • Sharpen your leadership skills and gain valuable campaign and organizing tools
  • Participate in a Mock Legislature at the State Capitol, where you will serve as a senator for a day and debate important public policy issues ranging from elections, education and public safety
  • Receive hands-on training in the areas of civic engagement and media advocacy
  • Meet elected officials and improve your networking skills
  • Obtain insight and career advice from top executives in these fields
  • Meet other ambitious Muslim students from across California

As always, please feel free to email me at cmangus@cair.com if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
