February 24, 2020

Election day is quickly approaching, and we want to continue to ensure you are prepared.

Want to vote by mail?

Tuesday, February 25 is the last day to request an absentee ballot. If you have not already requested your ballot, the instructions to do so are available on the Secretary of State website.

Are you registered with No Party Preference?

If you are, there will be no presidential candidate on your ballot. You will need to request a crossover ballot if you would like to vote for a candidate. The deadline for this is also tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25, so be sure to request one today! You can make the request by phone, email, or fax. Look up the contact information for your county, here.

Do you live in Santa Clara County or San Mateo County?

If you do, you have the benefit of the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA)!

Key Elements in VCA Counties:

You have three ways to return your ballot:

  • Mail in the ballot
  • Drop it off at a county ballot drop box
  • Visit a vote center in the county

You can vote at any vote center in your county:

  • Modern features to make voting easy
  • Start voting 10 days before the election. So you can vote today!
  • Get help and vote materials in multiple languages (Hindi available at Santa Clara County centers)
