Do you know what the most exciting part about the 2020 Census is? You can fill it out from the comfort of your own home!

The Census is important because it gives us data about our community, informs the distribution of billions of dollars in federal funding, and determines the number of decision-makers representing us. Counties get billions of dollars from the federal government for essential services like healthcare, school programs, housing, transportation, social services and more, based solely on this count.

How does it work?

You should have received a postcard in the mail with a unique 12-digit code. For the first time in history, you are able to respond to the questionnaire for your household in any these three ways:

Online: Visit my2020census.gov and fill out the online questionnaire using a computer, phone, or tablet. Using the unique code will make this process easier, but you are also able to fill out the questionnaire without the code.

By mail: If a paper questionnaire was sent to your home, you can fill it out with blue or black ink. When finished, you can return the questionnaire in the envelop provided.

By phone: You are able to call 844-330-2020 to complete the questionnaire.

What does the Census ask?

Some questions asked are:

How many people were living or staying in this house, apartment, or mobile home on April 1, 2020?

Is this a house, apartment, or mobile home?

What is your telephone number?
