As we wrap up another difficult year, we are grateful to Allah (swt) for the blessings of our families, good health, communities, and the unwavering support of resilient champions of justice like you.
Throughout 2021, CAIR-SFBA has continued to provide community members the resources they need to feel empowered and protected.
With your generous support, our team works tirelessly. This year, among our many accomplishments, we celebrated:
- Publishing a comprehensive report on Islamophobia’s in California public schools in which 708 Muslim students were surveyed, with nearly 55% reporting feeling unsafe at school
- Completing our 10th annual Muslim Day at the Capitol with over 300 participants attending over 90 virtual legislative meetings, many conversing with their elected officials for the first time
- Training over 100 students at local masajid on civil rights and civic engagement content intended to empower our youth to protect themselves and speak up for their communities
- Engaging the community in the redistricting process at the local, state, and federal levels to protect our collective voting power as these lines are redrawn for the first time in 10 years
Maneuvering this year’s new wave of challenges was difficult, but we have managed to show up each time because of your faith in our work.
Your gift today will help us respond to young people facing bullying, assist families impacted by immigration policies, connect with elected officials who support our community, train more leaders, and engage more American Muslims in the civic process.
