2021 CAIR-CA Bullying Survey Sweepstakes Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES.  PARTICIPATION WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. SWEEPSTAKES IS OFFERED ONLY IN CALIFORNIA.

PRIZES: Three (3) Prizes, for one (1) Apple Watch (approximate value $279.00), one (1) Apple AirPods Pro (approximate value $249.00), one (1) Apple AirPods (approximate value $159.00) each.  Prizes may not be assigned or transferred except at sole discretion of the sponsor. Odds of winning depend on total number of entries. Taxes on prize and any expenses not stated relating to acceptance and use of prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

ELIGIBILITY: Open only to 11–18-year-old Muslim students who attend public school or a non-Islamic private or charter school in California at the time of entry. Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted. Employees of CAIR-CA, and it’s related and affiliated organizations and their immediate families “(spouses and parents, siblings, children and spouses)” and persons who reside in the same household are not eligible.

ENTRY: There are two (2) ways to enter: On-Line participation. (1) On-Line -To enter on-line you must be eligible and have completed the on-line survey participation and follow the links and instructions for entry. On-Line participation is open from 12:01 a.m. February 4, 2021 through 5:00 p.m. on June 30, 2021.  You will receive one (1) entry into the sweepstakes. Please include your name, age, school and email address. All entries must be postmarked by midnight on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 to be eligible.

All entries become property of Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage due entries or mail. No mechanical reproduction of any kind will be accepted. In the event of an on-line entry dispute, entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to enter the sweepstakes. Limit one entry per person or e-mail address regardless of the method of entry.

Drawings will be conducted through a random drawing. Winner will be notified by e-mail and will be required to complete/sign/return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and, except where prohibited a Publicity Release within 14 days. Failure to return documents within 14 days or return of prize notification as undeliverable will cause prize to be forfeited and awarded to a randomly selected alternate winner. If winner is not of the age of majority in California (a “minor”), at Sponsor’s sole discretion prize will be awarded to winner’s parent or legal guardian or documents must be ratified by winner’s parent or legal guardian.

GENERAL: By entering the sweepstakes each entrant agrees: (a) to these Official Rules and that decisions of the Sponsor shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this sweepstakes; (b) that Sponsor, and its respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents shall not be liable or responsible for any claim, injury or damage to person, including death, or property due in whole or in part from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, or participation in this sweepstakes; and (c) by acceptance of prize, winners agree to allow use by Sponsor of his/her name, city, photograph or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without additional compensation and, upon request, will provide consent to such use in writing. All material submitted becomes the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any sweepstakes material or for any computer, software, Internet website or electronic defect, error or failure relative to any aspect of the sweepstakes regardless of reason. If, for any reason, the sweepstakes cannot be completed as planned by infection of computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or other failures which in the sole opinion of the Sponsor corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this sweepstakes and will post notice thereof. In the event of cancellation or termination, the prize will be awarded in a random drawing from eligible entries legitimately received prior to the event causing such cancellation or termination. The laws of the state of California govern this sweepstakes and any dispute regarding the sweepstakes shall be resolved only in a state or federal court located in California.
