We are honored to announce Assemblymember Matt Haney as the recipient of CAIR-SFBA’s 2026 Liberty Award at our 32nd Anniversary Gala.
As the author of AB 2017, the California Eid State Holiday Act, Assemblymember Haney has been a strong partner in advancing official recognition of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in California.
His leadership has helped move the bill through the Legislature and brought California closer to recognizing the faith and traditions of more than one million Muslim residents.
We look forward to honoring him at this year’s gala, Upholding Liberty and Justice for All, on Saturday, October 17.
