As we continue to witness unimaginable suffering in Gaza, we hold on to both grief and hope. We pray that the ceasefire holds—and that it marks not an ending, but the first step toward lasting peace, accountability, and liberation for the Palestinian people.

Linda Sarsour
Renowned racial justice and civil rights activist Linda Sarsour served as the master of ceremonies, bringing her signature passion and energy each time she spoke. Her keynote-worthy words left a lasting impact, inspiring and engaging everyone throughout the night.

The evening began with beautiful Quran recitation by CAIR-SFBA Governance Board Member Ahmad Badr.

CAIR-SFBA Governance Board President Michelle Lee delivered the welcome and opening remarks, setting an inspiring tone for the evening’s program.

Palestinian Congressmember Rep. Rashida Tlaib spoke passionately about the dehumanization of the Palestinian people.
Lateefah Simon
“Our rights in the courts are being smeared.”
Rep. Lateefah Simon, the first Muslim Congressmember from California, warned that the dehumanization of Muslims is now being enshrined in U.S. policy and law.
Zahra Billoo
“The next generation will lead us.”
CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo spoke on how CAIR’s programmatic work is transforming Muslim representation in the halls of power.
Hussam Ayloush
CAIR-CA Chief Executive Officer Hussam Ayloush closed the evening with a heartfelt du’a—asking for mercy, protection, steadfastness, and justice as we continue the work ahead.
Fundraising Goal
Imam Siraj Wahhaj, everyone’s favorite imam, led a powerful fundraising appeal, and, Alhamdulillah, together we raised $1,409,467.
It was the most ever raised by our local CAIR office in one night, and a historic moment for our Bay Area community.
These funds directly support CAIR’s expanded services after two years of genocide in Palestine, a sharp rise in Islamophobia here at home, and the growing uncertainty facing our vulnerable immigrant communities.
We are now just about $90,000 away from our $1.5 million goal.
For those who were not able to attend, or who wish to help us cross the finish line, your donation today will ensure that CAIR-SFBA remains strong, steady, and ready to meet the challenges ahead.
