On Saturday, Oct. 4, CAIR-SFBA Executive Director Zahra Billoo will keynote the John George Democratic Club’s Tenth Biennial Social Justice Awards in Oakland.
The event, themed “Resistance and Resilience: Preserving Democracy,” celebrates community leaders advancing social justice. In addition to giving the keynote, Zahra will be honored with the Club’s Defending Democracy Award for her work protecting civil rights and building community power.
