WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Under the current administration, ICE arrests and prolonged detentions have increased regardless of legal status. Our workshop covers the Why and the How of building an emergency family plan because the When is now.

Information needed to draft applications shared in advance
Outreach gathers participant lists. The legal team sends intake forms. Consultations identify and prioritize those who qualify.
Qualifying participants receive retainers via email. Paralegal sends a document checklist and instructions for workshop day.
In-person presentation. Legal staff review documents, draft applications, collect signatures and photos
Paralegals finalize and prepare the application for attorney review.
Administrative assistant mails the application. Client receives a copy via email.
REQUIREMENTS FOR HOST ORGANIZATIONS
• Appropriate number of attendees confirmed prior to the event
• Physical space with sufficient seating
• Internet access and projector
• Tables, printers, and paper
• Participant list with emails provided in advance
• Coordination on language access needs if applicable
Organizations that cannot meet full logistical requirements will be offered a Zoom presentation, our intake form, and free consultations through our triage model.
