Assalamu Alaykum,
On behalf of the CAIR-LA Governance Board, I wish you and your loved ones a blessed Ramadan. This month is a time for heartfelt du’a, reflection, and uplifting our faith and community.
We are especially grateful to the masjid boards that partner with CAIR-LA to empower their congregations. Your leadership strengthens our communities, and as we invest in our spiritual and civic responsibilities during this blessed month, we recognize that strong masajid, advocacy, and legal defense all go hand in hand.
Through our services, CAIR provides free legal support to Muslims facing discrimination and hate, builds political power, and shapes future leaders. Our work depends on direct engagement with our neighbors, and our community thrives when we strategically strengthen all facets of our institutions. Now more than ever, we must stand together to protect our rights, uplift our institutions, and ensure our voices are heard.
Last year, our advocacy was driven by Israel’s genocide in Gaza and the rise of Islamophobia here at home. Despite these challenges, we’ve also seen growing awareness and solidarity through advocacy. Through CAIR-LA’s Muslim Community Action Network and Champions of Justice program, we’re pushing for real change by introducing legislation and policy changes to legally challenge the narrative, pursuing litigation, and mobilizing voters. Investing in the institutions that defend our rights and amplify our voices—as well as contributing to our masajid and charities—makes a meaningful difference in the future of our generations.
Civic engagement is not just a right; it’s a responsibility. Thank you for standing with CAIR-LA—your support fuels our mission, drives meaningful change, and strengthens our community.
May Allah (SWT) accept from you and Ramadan Mubarak!
