"All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab, and a non-Arab has no superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black, nor a black has any superiority over a white — except by piety and good action."

-Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him

Brothers and Sisters, today — the Day of Arafat — is a time of reflection, prayer, and hope. We look forward to the Eid, inshaAllah, just as we remember those who have passed before us and commit to being better to each other in the year ahead.

That message of kindness, oneness, and equality is central to our beloved Messenger's final sermon, delivered on Mt. Arafat. In it, he instructed us that our distinction comes from our piety and good action.

This is a time to strive and increase the good deeds we perform. Besides fasting, praying, and making dua, charity is another great deed to perform on the Day of Arafat — the best day of the year. Support CAIR-LA’s effort with whatever you can give today to reap the benefits of charity on this blessed day.

As demand for our services increases, we are working to expand our team. To do this, we need to raise funds to cover our office’s expansion, adding new work spaces for the new lawyers you helped us hire during Ramadan as well as the office equipment to help them serve our community more efficiently.

On this blessed day of Arafat, please support CAIR-LA’s work on behalf of American Muslims.

P.S. – Your donation to CAIR-LA is tax-deductible and Zakat-eligible. Please donate now.
